If you’re considering bringing someone into your home to help you declutter and organise, congratulations! This is an exciting time for you. By now you’ve probably Googled, had a look on Facebook, possibly scrolled the ‘gram, and you’ve wound up here. Wondering if I might be the right person for you. I hope so, but it is really important that you find the right person - this can be emotional work and you want to be sure the decluttering expert you choose is someone you can rely on to support you through the wobbly bits.

This is what you can expect if you choose me as your professional organiser:

🎀 An expert eye on your problem areas. I’ve seen it all before, and no, yours isn’t the worst I have dealt with.

🎀 No judgy eyes. I’m here to help so there is no need to be embarrassed.

🎀 Weapons of mass decluttering: I bring all the tools I need to get the job done. Labels, step ladder, cleaning cloths, measuring tape - you get the picture.

🎀 An iron fist in a velvet glove… I am gentle and respectful, but make no mistake - I will get the job done.

🎀 I take all of your unwanted items when I leave, donating as much as possible for rehoming. Damaged and unusable items are disposed of.

🎀 I teach you the skills to stay organised long after I have left.

Don’t just take my word for it though - check out the feedback from my happy clients.

Advice to follow if you’re still not sure and want to consider other options

Professional organisers and decluttering experts have one thing in common - we all love to send clutter packing! We’re all individuals though, so here are some questions you might like to ask when you’re shopping around:

  • Are you naturally messy or tidy? Organisers who have never struggled with mess may struggle to empathise with those that do.

  • Do you take the unwanted stuff away? Getting the stuff out of the house can be a major stumbling block for many. Make sure your organiser takes it with them when they leave.

  • Where do you take the unwanted stuff? There are responsible ways to rehome your unwanted items, so make sure that your declutterer does not plan on exiting via landfill.

  • How do you make me let stuff go? Some clients need their organiser to take a harsh, almost bullying approach to get their clients to part with their items. Others prefer a more gentle approach - make sure you know which style you are signing up for.

Now you’re armed with some questions to get the ball rolling on appointing your professional organiser - now go forth and choose someone who you are going to enjoy collaborating with on your decluttering project. If you think that might be me, book a free phone consultation so we can get to know each other and make a plan of attack.
